Stariha Auctions had our first Woodford sale of the year today. The market was excellent, with weaner steers, vealers and younger cattle selling to strong competition. Cows maintained their high rates from the end of 2025.

• Micheal Friedrich, Toogoolawah, sold Murray Grey backgrounder steers for $1580.
• Glenn Bloomfield, Delaneys Creek, sold Brangus steers for $1420.
• Helen Thornton, Woolmar, sold Brangus steer calves for $920 and heifer calves for $850.
• Ken Young, Monsildale, sold Droughtmaster weaner steers for $1450, $1270, $1200 & $1150 and vealer heifers for $800.
• Danny & Daniel Hall, Monsildale, sold lines of Droughtmaster weaner steers for $1370, light weaner steers for $1180 and vealer heifers for $960,  $940 & $870. 
• Arabella Chambers, Mt Pleasant, sold Droughtmaster steer calves for $970.
• PJ Roberts, Woodford, sold Limousin weaner males for $1200 and vealer heifers for $870 & $780.
• Dale Jones, Woodford, sold Angus steers for $1270.
• Barrie Dunning, Kilcoy, sold Charolais cows for $1900.
• Robert Fritz, Maleny, sold the top steer for $2200.
