802 head were sold at Stariha Auctions Laidley cattle sale on Thursday. A terrific line up of cattle came to hand, with the market dearer across the board. All descriptions of cattle met stronger competition than previous weeks, with Western buyers strong and several new buyers in operation.
- Rosewood Holdings sold quality lines of Euro milk tooth steers for $2100, $2100, $2070, $2030, $1990 & $1950.
- Valley View Grazing, Blenheim, sold a Santa bull for $2800 and a line of light feeder steers for $1880.
- Gary Jackwitz, Glen Cairn, sold Murray Grey steers for $3000 and Santa steers for $2480.
- LC Livestock, Lowood, sold a pen of Droughtmaster feeder steers for $2170.
- William Goetsch, Alandale, sold Brangus feeder steers for $1900.
- Lehmann Family, Coolana, sold lines of young Droughtmaster cross weaner steers for $1460 & $1380 and steer calves for $1120.
- Metcalf Farms, Gatton, sold light Santa weaner steers for $1350 and steer calves for $880.
- Peter Vogler, East Egypt, sold Charbray cows to a top of $2300.
- Trevor Neumann, Ma Ma Creek, sold Charolais cows for $2180, feeder steers for $1950 and weaner steers for $1290.
- Pitana Cattle Co, Blenheim, sold Santa feeder steers for $1970.
- Casey Risson, Prenzlau, sold Angus feeder steers for $2010 & $1900.
