WOODFORD MARKET REPORT

 

259 head were sold at Stariha Auctions Woodford cattle sale on Monday 25th May. The market saw a sharp rise in prices, with all cattle selling to stronger rates.

  • Joaquin & Vi Tapiolas, Kingscrub, sold Red Brangus weaner steers for $1400 & $1380, weaner heifers $1100 and vealer heifers for $760.
  • Chris Nutter, Neurum, sold Droughtmaster heifers for $1850.
  • Brian Naughton, Commissioners Flat, sold Droughtmaster weaner steers for $1300.
  • Peter Cavanagh, Harlin, sold Braford cows for $2020.
  • Caboolture High School sold a Braford bull for $2700.
  • Caldwell, McLauchlan & Simi, Maleny sold Droughtmaster steers for $1400 and heifers for $1120.
  • Hill Family Trust, Ocean View, sold Droughtmaster cross weaner males for $1160.
  • Mineral Properties, Moore, sold a line of Senepol vealer heifers for $820.
  • Darren Weeks & Kylie Rasmussen, Stanmore, sold Charolais weaner heifers for $1000.
  • Craig Young, Mount Mellum, sold Square Meater vealer heifers for $800.
  • Max Tones, Sheep Station Creek, sold Murray Grey steers calves for $830.
  • Webster Family, Maleny, sold Speckle Park steers for $1200.
  • PJ Roberts, Woodford, sold a Charolais bull for $2500.
